Web & AI Systems Studio · Johnston, RI

Websites, apps, and AI helpers, built to be yours.

JRP Labs is a one-person studio in Rhode Island that builds the online side of small businesses: the site, the shop, the customer portal, the payments, and the automations that reply to leads and keep the calendar full. Everything is set up in your own accounts, so it costs very little to keep running and nobody can take it away.

Sound familiar?

Running a business shouldn't mean babysitting six apps.

  • A new inquiry comes in by text while you're on a job. By the time you reply, they've called someone else.
  • Your schedule is in one app, your invoices in another, and your customer list is mostly in your head.
  • The website was made on a template you can't change without breaking something.
  • The monthly software bills keep stacking up, and none of those tools know about each other.

One connected setup, built around how you actually work.

The website, the signup, the customer portal, the payments, the follow-up texts, and your admin screen, designed together by one person who understands the whole picture. It's hosted in accounts you control and costs less to run each month than a lunch out.

What we build

One studio. The whole stack.

Design, build, hosting, and the automations behind it all come from the same desk, so the pieces fit together instead of fighting each other.

Websites & online shops

Custom marketing sites and Shopify storefronts that load fast, look right on a phone, and make it easy to book or buy.

Example: a members' club website with a schedule the hosts update themselves, wired straight into the CRM.

Customer portals & web apps

Accounts, scheduling, dispatch boards, crew apps, admin dashboards, and membership systems, hosted in your own cloud accounts.

Example: a real-money club app with a full ledger, dispute handling, nightly backups, and uptime alerts.

AI helpers & automation

Small, focused assistants that reply to new leads, chase quiet quotes, ask for reviews, and keep your records tidy. AI writes the first draft; you approve what matters.

Example: website signups land in the CRM and get a welcome text within seconds, with no one touching it.

Payments & billing

Stripe checkout, invoices, subscriptions, deposits, and per-visit or monthly billing, with clean records behind every dollar.

Example: a members' shop with Stripe checkout and a simple fulfilment routine for the owner.

Email, SMS & CRM

Lead routing, welcome sequences, appointment reminders, and win-back campaigns through your own CRM and phone number, with consent handled properly.

Example: GoHighLevel pipelines with tagged workflows and referral-code tracking for a local club.

Hosting, backups & care

Cloudflare, Railway, and Postgres set up properly, with backups, monitoring, and a plain-English runbook handed over at launch.

Example: a live database migration with a tested, written backup-and-restore procedure.

AI systems

Helpers that take the repeat work off your plate.

These aren't chatbots pasted onto a website. Each helper is a small system with a single job, connected to your CRM, your phone number, and your calendar. You own it, it runs in your accounts, and a person signs off on anything that involves money or your name.

Speed-to-lead
First reply

Answers every web form and missed call within about a minute, handles the basic questions, and offers open times from your calendar.

After-hours
Nights & weekends

Covers the phone when you're off, takes down what the caller needs, and books them or queues them up for your morning.

Win-back
Quiet customers

Reaches out to past customers and quotes that went silent with a timely reason to come back, and hands the conversation to you when they reply.

Reviews & referrals
Reputation

Asks for the Google review right after a good job, thanks the people who leave one, and invites happy customers to send a friend.

Reminders
Fewer no-shows

Confirms the appointment, sends the day-before and on-the-way texts, and offers a new slot when someone cancels.

Back office
Records

Keeps the CRM clean, notes which message led to which job, and drafts the invoice or ledger entry for you to approve.

Drops & restocks
For shops

Back-in-stock alerts, abandoned-cart nudges, and launch-day announcements for online stores and brands.

Your bottleneck
Custom build

Name the chore you wish someone else did every single day. If it repeats, there's a good chance we can build it.

24/7
Works nights, weekends, and holidays without being asked
Yours
Runs in your accounts for pocket change each month, with no per-seat licence
Human
You approve anything that touches money or speaks for your business

How we work

Ideas. Process. Results.

01 — IDEAS

A working session, not a sales call

Twenty minutes, on a call or in person, to figure out where you lose time and customers. You leave with a written plan for the one thing worth building first, and a fixed price for it.

02 — PROCESS

Built in phases, with a link you can open on your phone

Each phase ships to a private preview so you review real screens, not drawings. Feedback goes in, the next phase goes out, and nothing touches your live site until you say so.

03 — RESULTS

Launched in your accounts, with the manual

Every launch comes with a plain-English runbook for the day-to-day, and an optional care plan if you'd rather we handle hosting, backups, and updates.

Why build it this way

Something you own, not something you rent.

It's yours

The code, the domain, the hosting, the Stripe account, the CRM. All in your name from day one. If we parted ways tomorrow, everything would keep working.

It's cheap to run

Modern hosting is close to free at small-business scale. Most of what we build costs less per month than a single seat of the software it replaces.

It's connected

The form feeds the CRM, the CRM sends the text, the text books the job, the job creates the invoice. One flow, no copy-and-paste in between.

Set up in your own accounts, never resold through ours. Listed as tools, not as clients or sponsors.

Pricing

A written scope and a fixed price, before any work starts.

Every project is quoted individually once we have talked through the job, so you pay for what you actually need. All quotes and invoices are in US dollars (USD).

Website

Quoted per project

Custom marketing site or shop redesign. Typically delivered in 1 to 3 weeks.

  • Design, build, and launch
  • Mobile-first, fast, and accessible
  • Contact or signup form wired to your tools
  • Training on how to update it

Web app, portal, or AI system

Quoted per project

Customer portals, admin tools, booking or billing systems, and AI helpers. Typically 4 to 12 weeks, delivered in phases.

  • Written plan and phased milestones
  • Accounts, payments, and admin
  • Hosting set up in your own accounts
  • Documentation and handoff

Care plan

Monthly, cancel any time

Keep it running after launch, priced to the size of what we built.

  • Hosting, backups, and uptime monitoring
  • Security and dependency updates
  • Small content changes each month
  • Priority support by email

Fixed-price projects take a deposit up front with the balance due at launch. Hourly work is quoted in advance and billed in 15-minute increments. Third-party costs such as domains, hosting, Shopify, SMS, or Stripe processing fees are billed at cost or paid by you directly. See our refund and cancellation policy and terms of service.

About

A builder in Rhode Island who ships.

JRP Labs is Joshua Palardy, a designer-developer based in Johnston, Rhode Island. The studio started by building for itself first, a poker club's whole stack from marketing site to live-play app, and now builds the same kind of connected, owner-controlled systems for other small businesses.

Ideas, process, results isn't a slogan. It's the order the work happens in: understand the business, build it in the open, and hand over something that runs.
